Announcing the IRISS Veterans’ Assistance Program
Finding a job or trade after military service affects veterans by the hundreds of thousands every day around the world, and the VA reports only 1 in 8 have steady employment lined up after leaving the armed forces. Not only does this pose a serious financial problem for many, but statistically tends to create a downward spiral towards issues with mental/physical health, families, and relationships. The VA states that the struggle is due to “culture gaps between military service and civilian society, as well as a lack of seamless integration amongst Veteran care programs”.
Veterans, years ago, were given priority in the job application process. Today, many employers fail to see how military experience would successfully translate into a civilian position and many veterans who enlisted at 18 years old lack the “civilian work experience” these employers feel are necessary. As a Veteran Owned and Operated business, IRISS is dedicated to helping solve this problem by offering the Veterans’ Assistance Program to any veteran from around the world.
